Calvin Seminary welcomes Mark Braverman, Program Director of Kairos USA, and author of A Wall in Jerusalem: Hope, Healing, and the Struggle for Justice in Israel and Palestine, to speak at a breakfast event, October 31, 2023, at 7:30 am in the Calvin Seminary Auditorium. We’ll hear him speak on the struggle for justice and peace in Israel-Palestine, followed by time for Q&A.
RSVP is required by October 25th, and all attendees are asked to view the video above and to come prepared with at least one question for the speaker.
From Adjunct Prof. Gary Burge: “On October 7, the world witnessed the shocking attack by Hamas (Gaza) on Israel. Now we are watching the overwhelming Israeli retaliation. Thousands of lives have been lost. More will still die. Calvin Seminary is hosting a speaker who can address these issues. As a Jew, Mark Braverman has been an active analyst/prophet for all-things-Israel. I’ve worked with Mark on various international efforts to bring reconciliation and peace to Israel and the Palestinians. He is an “area expert” who can address these questions and host a lively discussion. Make this a priority. We will discuss one of the world’s greatest crises of 2023 – and each of us will be referring back to it for decades to come.”
