Learn About Empower:
A small group of students in your area who engage the competency-based learning paths together. Each student has a three-person mentor team and also participates in facilitated peer learning by the partnering organization. Empower cohorts bring meaningful collaboration between the seminary, local ministry leaders, churches, and organizations - all to benefit the students’ competency development and whole-person formation.
Students are enrolled at CTS and use faculty-developed learning paths. The learning paths provide rigorous Masters-level education and integration of content, character, and craft. Partnering organizations can shape learning experiences to resonate even more deeply with their local context. Mentor teams include a faculty mentor from CTS and local mentors who know both the community and the student. Student learning remains self-paced with the support of an embodied community.
Learn through a combination of media, instruction, interaction, and the context of your ministry practice. Our Learning Paths are approved by the Calvin Seminary Next Steps Faculty Committee and can be tailored to a student’s development needs as guided by the mentor team.
