The Religion Department of Calvin University will hold a public lecture, titled “Dying of Distress: Despair and Mental Health in Paul,” by Dr. Clair Mesick, Assistant Professor of Religion, Calvin University. The lecture will be held on November 7, 2024, at 4:00 PM at the Meeter Center Lecture Hall.
Dr. Mesick is a scholar of the New Testament and early Christian origins, focusing especially on Paul, the Corinthian correspondence, early church conflict, and the interrelated topics of health, illness, psychology, and emotions.
