Join Prof. Albert Strydhorst and RCA missionary Rev. Blaine Newhouse for a Missions Monday Lunch on April 22 at 12:20 PM – 1:20 PM in the Upper Room. Rev. Newhouse is serving in Bahrain with the English Language Congregation (ELC) of the National Evangelical Church of Bahrain. He writes, “God has taken the seeds planted in the Arabian Gulf by missionary pioneers such as Samuel and Amy Zwemer more than a century ago and allowed them to flourish in our day. At present, the ELC worships with upwards of 1,000 members from 60 different nations. We are hopeful to build on the favor God has given in this part of the world to plant additional churches and to expand this unique ministry in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Our prayer continues to be for God to lead us to a person or persons of unique gifting with a heart for global mission and an openness to serve in the Middle East…, (even with) the English Language Congregation of the National Evangelical Church.” Come for lunch, bring your questions, and be challenged by what God is doing in this part of the world.
