On Tuesday, September 24, the Calvin Seminary community celebrated the launch of a new version of a reformed classic. Reformed Ethics, originally written by Herman Bavinck, was translated to English by Professor Emeritus John Bolt and a team of dedicated Bavinck experts and enthusiasts. This book, a collection of lectures that Bavinck gave between 1883 and 1902 is the first of an anticipated three-set volume on the topic.

Bolt, along with two members of his team – Nelson Kloosterman and Antoine Theron – described the process of the project coming together. The event was a celebration of a project that required patience and an attention to detail.

The rest of the translation team included Jessica Joustra and Dirk van Keulen. For more information on the book, including how to order, visit the Bavinck Institute webpage.
