Introducing The Forum Platform: A New Way to Serve the Whole Church

As we look toward the 150th anniversary of Calvin Theological Seminary in March 2026, I am filled with excitement to share a new resource with you: The Forum platform.

Over the past year, as part of our strategic planning, we’ve reiterated our commitment to serving the whole church. While part of our calling is training pastors and leaders for church ministry, we also equip the broader body of Christ by focusing on their whole person formation. The Forum platform is a key way we’re going to do just that.

Service through Reformed Thought Leadership

For many years, Calvin Seminary has been dedicated to providing Reformed thought leadership, and much of that has been shared through The Forum Magazine. This publication, which comes out twice a year in both digital and print editions, will continue to serve as a vital part of our ministry. The new Forum platform builds on that legacy and extends it in new ways.

On this platform, you’ll find articles, book reviews, video teaching series, event invitations, free webinars, and opportunities to attend retreats hosted by Calvin Seminary’s institutes and centers, such as the Institute for Mission, Church, and Culture (IMCC), the Center for Excellence in Preaching, and our Lifelong Learning team. These are just a few of the ways we hope to serve you through continued thought leadership in accessible formats.

Service through Accessible Content

One of the most exciting aspects of the Forum platform is the accessibility it offers. While printed copies of The Forum Magazine are mailed to thousands of households every year, we know that many more can benefit from these resources. By making our content available online, we open the door for churches, leaders, and believers—here in the United States and Canada and around the world—to access, read, and use these materials in a way that fits their life and ministry.

This broader reach means that Calvin Seminary’s resources can now serve a global audience, bringing our content to places we’ve never reached before. We’re grateful for the opportunity to equip churches and individuals from all walks of life, meeting them wherever they are in their faith journey.
