The Impact of the Pandemic on Mothers

“Parents aren’t even at a breaking point anymore,” writes Dan Sinker in the Atlantic. “We’re broken.” The impact of the global COVID-19 pandemic has been felt by everyone. But few have carried as heavy a burden during these challenging months as mothers. The physical and mental demands of quarantine, and the collapse of boundaries between workplace, school, and home, have left many women feeling especially weary and empty. Annie Mas-Smith asked mothers in our community to share their experiences, voice their laments, and call the church to respond.
