-
A student may register a twelve credit hour Th.M. thesis in one quarter (at 12
credit hours) or in three credit hour segments (three, six or nine, credit hours).
Late registration of the Th.M. thesis will be subject to the late registration fee.
-
No Th.M. thesis credits may be registered unless an approved thesis proposal
(signed by the primary advising professor and the vice president for academic
affairs) is on file with the registrar. When that document is in order, a student
may register the thesis in allowed segments up to a total of twelve hours.
Satisfactory progress on the thesis will be assumed unless the registrar receives
written indication to the contrary from the vice president for academic affairs. In
that event no further registration of a segment of the thesis will be permitted
until written permission to proceed is received from the vice president for
academic affairs.
-
Segments of the Th.M. thesis will not be credited or transcripted on a quarterly
basis; rather, the entire thesis will be credited and transcripted upon its
successful defense. In light of this, no incompletes will ever be necessary.
-
Withdrawals from a registered segment of a Th.M. thesis will only be permitted
if the student changes the thesis topic or discontinues study in the Th.M.
program. Refunds in such cases will be according to the usual refund schedule.
