Participate in a DYC Workshop

What is God's call in my life? How do I practice listening to God? What type of ministry am I called to?

Discerning your calling is both a daily task and a life long task. Sometimes it is helpful, when facing a major decision, to set aside a longer period of time within which to bring your decision before God. Calvin Seminary hosts Discerning Your Calling retreats and workshops to give you the kind of space that you need to ask the important questions.

  • Host a DYC event in your area

Partner with Calvin Theological Seminary in hosting an event in your area. Rev. Greg Janke will work with you to develop an event to meet your needs. DYC events can take place at high schools, colleges, or churches. The focus can be on discerning a calling in general, a calling to ministry in particular, or on the spiritual discipline of discernment itself. Greg and other seminary faculty and staff are available to lead or facilitate short conversations (one hour), longer workshops (three hours), or even day-long retreats. Email Greg to set up an event.
