International Friends Program
Are you interested in broadening your cross-cultural horizon while at Calvin Seminary?
All of us as North Americans and as international students have a wonderful opportunity in our seminary community to learn from each other and help each other. International students enrich our community so much. They have much to teach and share with us. In turn, as they face so many new and unfamiliar things in school and in society, they need the support and help of North Americans to make a smooth adjustment.
International Friends is a program which facilitates cross-cultural friendships between North American students and international students. By simply planning an informal social event together with your partner once a month you will have the opportunity to get to know someone from another culture while learning a few things about what God is doing in other parts of the world. This is a unique opportunity that you won’t want to miss.
If you would like to participate in this program, please sign up during international student orientation, in the registration line, or come to the Dean of Students Office in the Student Center (110E or 109E) and talk to Rev. Richard Sytsma, Dean of Students and International Student Advisor or his assistant, Ina De Moor.
