Discerning your call

“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:10)

“God has joined us together and united us in one body, because God wants us to employ ourselves for our neighbors, so that we are not addicted to our own selves but serve all in common.” – John Calvin

Finding that “sweet spot” where our abilities and interests align with God’s purposes and the world’s needs is something many of us long to achieve. The resources listed below are provided to help you discern and discover the how and the where and the what about the way God is calling you.

I encourage you to contact the Admissions office if you are looking for someone to walk with you as you listen for God’s voice.

What is Discernment?

To discern the movement of the Holy Spirit in our lives is to listen for God’s voice and to grow in God’s wisdom. We are constantly discerning the next steps. Sometimes the next steps take us miles away; sometimes the next steps take us miles inside. But all of our steps take us in a direction. As God trains you in the way you should go, and as you seek to stay in that way, you are invited to learn from others who are on the journey. Listen. Talk. Read. Sing. Pray. Journal. And do all of this knowing that you are not alone.
