Calvin Theological Seminary announces the following volunteer opportunities.
- Student Tax Return Preparers.
Through the Dean of Students Office and the Financial Services Office, we offer United States individual tax return preparation assistance to all of our international students. This is a free service that we provide to our international students, and involves a one hour meeting with the student on our Seminary campus, and some follow up form processing. Knowledge of tax return preparation is helpful but not required, as training on the specific details of the 1040-NR (non-resident) and state and city tax forms will be provided, and a team of preparers will work together to give guidance and answer questions. The tax return appointments will start at the end of February and continue through early April, 2013. Flexible scheduling is available and we are happy to accommodate any volunteer requests.
