CTS students in the inaugural cohort of the Distance Learning program recently spent eight days in Grand Rapids attending course sessions, sharing meals, and enjoying life together with the residential community.
Students especially appreciated the professors’ “passion for their topics” and the “personal attention” they gave. Calling their mentoring group times “invaluable,” one student highlighted a key strength of the cohort system: deep collaborative friendships encouraging one another in pastoral formation. With many students already deeply engaged in ministry, praxis-oriented conversations spilled over into coffee and meal times.
If you are interested in getting your M.Div. or MTS degree from a distance, it’s not too late to join this year’s cohort. Applications for a Spring 2013 start are due by November 15. Find out more about the distance program here. Or start your application today!
